A screen at the staff entrance shows a QR code that changes every thirty seconds and dies after sixty. A staff member scans it with their own phone and, because they must already be signed in, the scan proves both who they are and that they were standing in front of that screen. Check-in and check-out are saved separately and each locks — attendance drives payroll, so a record you can quietly edit afterwards is worth very little. Absent or leave can only be set on a day with neither.
