Staff records carry a grade from EG-1 to EG-15, a specialisation, years of experience and development hours completed. The grade anchors the salary band used by payroll, but the position within that band stays a management decision — the system proposes a midpoint and a human decides the number. Adding a teacher creates their login in the same transaction as their staff record.
