Attendance & KidMetrics

Present by default, a gate tap in two seconds, and an absent learner who knows what they missed.

How it works

The register opens with every learner present, because that is the common case. Marking an absence notifies the guardian immediately. KidMetrics adds an NFC tap at a fixed gate reader — it records which reader was used, never where the child is. Nothing on the learner reports position, and under the DPDP Act nothing could.

2.4s tap to a guardian's phone

What it covers

  • Present by default, one tap per exception
  • Guardian notified on an absence the same minute
  • NFC gate taps with the gate named, not a location
  • Cross-checked against the class register
  • Tap events kept twelve months, then deleted
  • QR staff attendance: a rotating code, check-in and check-out each locking once saved
  • Gate passes for learners, staff and visitors, verified at the gate rather than read off paper
  • An absence opens a catch-up automatically — what the class covered, assembled from lesson records
